If you like classic good looks, seaworthy boats that are designed to give you comfort at sea come see the Allied Seawind II. The Allied Seawind II ketch Apogee was the first fiberglass boat to circumnavigate. It is very strongly built yacht with comfortable accommodations and she will sail very well. The strong, seamless fiberglass hull has a long, straight keel, and a protected rudder. Hull construction is hand lay-up fiberglass, employing full length layers of woven roving and mat. Internal ballast is first quality cast lead, glassed into hull cavity and sealed over with layers of mat and woven roving. Bronze thru-hull fittings are used on all underwater thru-hulls. Head room in the salon is over six feet three inches. There is a large comfortable cockpit, good access to move forward and aft without being a contortionist and a ketch rig to make sail handling easy in bad weather and capability to carry a lot of sail in light winds. Accommodations for 5 people and space to be comfortable are a strong feature of this boat. Come see a yacht with a strong tradition.
